Fruit for our Old Vine Field Blend comes from 60-year-old (average), head-trained vines rooted in rocky, well-draining soils in the heart of Mendocino County. On the nose, aromas of ripe black cherry, damp earth, and hints of rose petal carry over to the mouth and harmoniously mesh with flavors of blackberry, pomegranate, dried leaves, and a hint of sweet spice. The palate is plush and powerful, yet balanced by well-integrated tannins and ample amounts of natural acidity. Post & Vine’s Old Vine Field Blend comes from Testa Vineyard, a certified Organic (CCOF certified) and Biodynamic (Demeter) site in Mendocino County.
