2018 Old Vine Field Blend
Fruit for our Old Vine Field Blend comes from 60-year-old (average), head-trained vines rooted in rocky, well-draining soils. All grapes are hand harvested and co-fermented spontaneously in-tank, followed by skin maceration for 14 days. The wine ages for 18 months in neutral barrels prior to being bottled without fining or filtration. The bluebird on the label represents Rebekah’s happiness to be doing what she loves: stewarding the land and producing site-reflective wines with a distinct sense of place. Post & Vine’s Old Vine Field Blend comes from Testa Vineyard, a certified Organic (CCOF certified) and Biodynamic (Demeter) site in Mendocino County.

Tasting notes: Opening with aromas of rose petal, black cherry and boysenberry, clove, anise, and forest floor, the 2018 Post & Vine Old Vine Field Blend expresses the purity of fruit and tannin structure typical of the Testa Vineyard of Redwood Valley Mendocino. The mouthfeel is seamless and layered, continuing the brambly fruit and spice of the nose and finishing with long, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity.
